The safest approach is to view GLP-1 therapy as a medical treatment rather than a quick-fix weight-loss trend, with the specific medicine, dose, duration, and monitoring plan selected according to the patient's health status and treatment goals. FDA information also makes clear that patients should be cautious with unapproved or improperly marketed compounded products, particularly when dosing instructions or product concentrations are unclear.
